The UK Government have long spoken about reviewing – or even scrapping – the Human Rights Act.
This was put off until Brexit. But now panels are reviewing the Act & court process.
The HRA helps individuals to hold the Government to account. Human rights organisations are concerned that this review must not lead to the HRA’s impact being watered down.
You can read more information about the HRA on the Human Rights Consortium Scotland website.
